Being a first-time founder is cool, but it also has its downsides.

We wanna talk about why knowing your “why” might save you.

FYI, this won’t be about or related to Simon Sinek’s “choose your why” books.

Everything below is written from actual experiences of:

  1. A first-time founder
  2. A founder being in the industry for over a decade

Learning “why” you do something is pretty important as a first-time founder.

You might wanna be the first millionaire in your family,

be a famous artist,

hit X amount of revenue in Z period of time,

or be the next Steve Jobs.

Sure, the above goals seems really cool to achieve but just so you know:

It’s good to know ‘why’ you want to do something. The more specific the better.
